So, I want to hear y'all's thoughts. My sister and I got into an argument. She thinks that "believing in flat earth" is dangerous and leads to dangerous ideas. She got very neurotic, being a devout leftist on the issue. I think that she disregards the moral restraints of most people, and doesn't understand that dangerous ideas do not directly lead to dangerous implementation. Do y'all agree or disagree?

I don't because it about something different then this, it meant about our plane of reality. Our reality of flat (like "earth" is a mysterious) can be opened mind vs. curved (like earth is a discovered) can be closed mind because it is about we don't know about it in high dimension, I meant this is old ideas. We can make revolutionary ideas into different subjects creating new revolution like topology lead to string theory from gamma function, this mindset you can make a revolution of philosophy

All falsehoods need to be crushed (through the power of free speech). This is why I pettily argue with Commies on the internet.

I agree. But the disagreement was over whether or not it was "dangerous".

It is if you're flying a plane. We should never let it get to that point.

Something I have been wrestling against is the "don't judge" culture that is in the west. It feels so impractical for a stable society and yet so prominent. I am guilty of being bad at taking correction as well, but I want to fix that.

This is why I like Matt Walsh. He is the antidote to over tolerance.

I cannot believe leftists still believe Umberto Eco's definition of fascism.
